According to the June report released by Argentina's Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, the soybean harvest in the 2024/25 season reached 49.9 million tons, a 3.5% increase from the previous season. The sown area for this season is 17.8 million hectares, up by 7.7% compared with the previous season. Among them, the average yield of first-crop soybeans is 30.6 quintals per hectare, exceeding the average level of the past decade; the yield of second-crop soybeans is 25.1 quintals per hectare, setting a record high for the same period.
Argentina exports soybeans and their processed products to 67 countries, with by-products such as soybean meal as the main export items. Over the past five years, its largest export markets have been China (accounting for 13%), Vietnam (9%) and India (7%) in that order.
